Becoming conscious of your feelings

Are you conscious of your feelings? Do you even know what that means?  For example if you’re angry do you even know you feel anger.  If you’re scared do you know you feel fear? If you’re not hungry but you eat anyway, do you even know that you’re not hungry?  The first step and the most important step in the process is becoming conscious of how you feel.  Even if you start by just asking the question. How do I feel?  How does this person or experience make me feel, and stop and get conscious of the feeling.  You won’t know the answer until you ask the question. This takes practice and it won’t happen overnight but once you start doing it you will start to wake up to a connection to yourself that you never had and a whole new spiritual journey.
